Resolutions, Maybe Next year :0)

Last year 2010, I thought about all the could be resolutions for 2011... Like, Exercising daily, watching calorie intake, no soda, not saving big clothes as just incasers, decrapifying my home, living stress free, and soo many others... As a Mommy to 3 little ones 5 and under, I have ZERO time, I mean I have negative time. My kids are with me all the time, even when I should be alone, they are with me, HAHA! So this year I wanted to make myself set some time aside and try blogging at least 3 times a week.. We are 40 days into the new year and this is the second time Ive blogged. I know, I know, I should make time, and Ive tried believe me, I HAVE! Every time I log on to write, I don't feel compelled to write, Id rather read the happenings in your life!!! How do you all do it? Last year I tried writing while my kids slept, and became sleep deprived! This year I wont be doing that again! Ill be blogging as much as I can during the day, rather than at night. We all need our beauty sleep!

Last year my 5 year old started Kindergarten in August. He now has 3 months left of school and has learned so much is such a short amount of time. Here he is at 10 months already loving books. There is just something about hearing your son read a book to you for the first time... Its a beautiful thing!!!

Hello, Hello, what a day! I went outside on this beautiful So Cal day to

see my beautiful blue Hydrangeas I bought a few weeks ago, and to my surprise

I noticed they were turning green!!! Oh the horror!!! I purposely paid a pretty penny

for the pretty blue flowers, which are now turning a light green. Are there any green thumbs out

there that can let me know whats going on? How can I get back my baby blues???

Piano Hands

It was always a childhood dream of mine to play piano. Never had the opportunity to play, and when I did, I was no longer interested =0(! I will be encouraging (forcing, LOL) my kids to pursue an instrument. I can imagine, after a long day, sitting in front of a piano, unwinding, and playing a beautiful song. Thinking of this reminds me of the many years my Lil sis practiced and played piano. Being able to hear someone play and sing is so beautiful. She has a beautiful voice, even without the piano. God has truly blessed her with overflowing talent.

I made a few and just had to try them on Hailey.

She loved the Pink and green!!! Purdy girl!

Then I decided to try on the green and brown.

As pretty as I thought it was she didn't like it at all.

How easy was it for you to find the perfect sofa? End tables? Coffee table? Chairs? Any piece that would go into a semi formal living room. How many stores did you leave empty handed?

This is where I am today, yesterday, the day before, the week before, and its driving me NUTS!

I'm searching for the perfect living room, the one that exists in my mind, the one that is functional, grown up and classy at the same time.

I'm searching for a sofa (or two love seats) that has turned legs, rolled arms, and a neutral fabric. I'm also searching for 2 chairs, not sure the kind, maybe something chunky with bolder fabric? I would like to incorporate black & white Damask in where ever I can. I'd also like to get drapes for both windows (not sure color).

I want the room pretty neutral, one day Id like dark hardwood floors. I have a blank slate, One big empty room. About 18ft long 12 wide, Ill measure when I head down stairs. Its a 3 walled room. The far wall has the fire place, and the left and right wall have large windows.

Got any ideas? Ill post some pics of my room soon... Thanks!

We had a wonderful weekend in San Diego. The weather was perfect, like always.

Carter was smiles all day! Our lil ladies were enjoying themselves in the stroller.

My Sweet family Easter Sunday 2010!

We had a wonderful Easter weekend! The kids and I colored eggs, drew Easter

bunnies and hid Easter eggs.

For Easter Sunday we went to church, watched the youth perform a play, heard the children's choir sing and heard a quick message. We decided to eat Easter lunch at Romanos Macaroni Grill. I ordered the Chicken Scallopini! it was DELICIOUS!!!! I love that place! After we were all stuffed we decided to head out to the duck pond. Since we were all nicely dressed it was a perfect time to snap some pictures. Here are a couple of my most favorites... Mommy hugging Carter! Soo Sweet!

My Love and I!!!

Along with my New Years Resolution to cut the clutter, which Ive been doing... I've also started weight training! My handsome husband is my trainer and he is AWESOME! When we have those sorta tired lazy days hes always there to encourage me, and remind me of my weight loss goals.
Since hes the greatest husband in the world he purchased me an armband for my IPhone. Actually he purchased me two. I got to choose which one I liked best. They both were terrific. But I had to choose one. The one I chose was from Belkin. I love it!!! The material is soft neoprene, it has a volume control on the outside, also has a keyhole just in case you go to the gym or a walk without your purse. It also has reflective material on face, for night runs or walks.

Have you purchased any special items for the IPhone that are a must have?? Please share!!!

Have you given into the IPAD yet? I think I'm going to pass on this one. Looks like an over sized IPhone! Have The price is crazy too! Besides, next year they'll come out with a new! Always happens!!!

A large, stylish bag, something that could double as a diaper bag??? I know there are tons of HOTT Bags out there right now. But Im sooo out of the loop since having my babies! Times and styles change so fast I can hardley keep up with my laundry let alone knowing that hair clips have been out since 1999!LOL

The larger the better, a pocket for my phone, and maybe just one zipper pocket. I dont need 52 compartments or even a zipper. The joys of being a nursing mommy mean, no hauling around bottles of water, bottles, formula, bibs or any of that! That part is FANTASTIC! My main purse stuff, wallet, keys, cosmetic pouch, extra diapers,onesie, burp cloth, and boob pads! LOL

(Here's Kaitlyn showing me her cake again, insisting on carrying it everywhere, driving me nuts, and all I keep doing is sweeping!LOL So I asked her if I could stick it in a baggie, then she could carry it around! LOL)
I woke up feeling FANTASTIC! Which hardly ever happens. So I decided to have a non-stop day with the kiddos and house duties. I started off with breakfast with the older two, while lil sleeping beauty Hailey was still snoozing. Threw a load in, then we did some learning. Carter calls it homework, what it is, is studying his letters, numbers, sounds, cutting and his name. Then princess woke up, so while the kids colored the lessons of the day, I fed Hailey. (Folded the load, and threw another in) After that we decided to come down and play with some play dough, FUN FUN!!! Messy Messy but oh so fun, well worth it!

The kids aren't ever done playing play dough. (Folded more and threw another in and swept) Fed Hailey again and shes out for her first nap. (Swept play dough, emptied dish washer) So I prepare lunch and empty out the sink, wash dishes and what not, and start thinking about dinner. Kids eat, Hailey is asleep. (Fold load, threw another in)

Craft time has begun and we are cutting, gluing, ripping, everything you can imagine! ( I sweep again, this time PAPER) while they are still cutting away I'm talking to the wall at this point telling the kids to please cut over the craft mats. LOL didn't listen... So Hailey is up and eats again. Ive started strolling her around in the stroller around the house, so I can get a few things done. Its hard doing things one handed and sooo much easier without a baby on your hip! (Folded again, forgot to throw a load in) Then we sit and read a couple books, do puzzles and play Lego's.Fed lil Hailey and shes asleep again. Kaitlyn asks if its time for dinner, cause shes really hungry! LOL! So I prepare dinner, and as I'm cutting the chicken Hailey wakes up, perfect timing! So by the time dinner is done, brownies are done, kids are eating, I'm feeding Hailey again, playing and its finally my turn to eat. it is now 630 and I need them to be upstairs by 7 to get my new bedtime routine started. We made it! Kids are showered, teeth are brushed and its still 7:20pm. Nice! So we read several books, talk about what we'd like to do tomorrow and by 8 they are in bed!!! I check on them every 15 mins after that till they are asleep. I'm proud to say they were asleep by 815!!! I am thrilled, and don't know what to do with myself, so I came to you blogging friends! This is my new routine, I hope it works daily and we stick to it. Its hard but very beneficial especially since I think my lil ones need more sleep, since they don't nap...

Ill let you know if its still working after a week! Oh yeah and I finished all of my laundry in one day! And the brownies were Delicious!!!!!!

Weekend Break

We drove to San Diego's Wild Animal Park, spontaneously, which worked out rather nice!

Here are the kids watching the flamingos. We were there for about 25 minutes. These are Kaitlyn's favorite, aside from the giraffe. Carter did mention he was tired of staring at pink birds, but understood Katie wasn't ready to move on yet.

Our lil one slept the whole 3 hours we were there! Must be nice, getting pushed around and napping!

Hubbs snapped a picture. Came out DARK, okay though, hides flaws...

I''m writing this post to share that I WON! I think Ive won the best giveaway ever! As many of you know, I delivered my daughter a lil over 3 months ago. Hailey had everything ready for her, hair bows, shoes, clothes, burpies, EVERYTHING, except her bedroom! In all the excitement, I think I just kept putting it off, and putting it off, till she arrived! And now that shes here, Mommy feels horrible =0(!!! So I did what all you blogging Mommy's did... Enter a giveaway! Kelly at Much to Do With Nothing was having a giveaway, but not just any giveaway, a crib bedding giveaway! The set included Crib skirt, Crib bumper, Crib quilt, and Toss Pillow. All made out of the softest materials! This is JUST what I needed to give me a jump start on Hailey's room!

And guess what I WON!!!! This was a blessing! We all know how much crib bedding costs,lots and lots of dollars (as my 2yr old would have said) , which is probably another reason why I hadn't purchased it. I immediately thanked God for such a talented woman he put on earth, who'd spent countless hours, and many blinks sewing together this creation, where I would be laying my little princess to sleep in for the next several years. What a beautiful surprise! I found Kelly's Blog a couple weeks ago, and had caught my eye since she re-upholsters and slip covers furniture. Ive got all kinds of that TO-DO furniture sitting and waiting for me in my garage, I was definantly inspired and I knew immediately her blog was going on my favorites list!

Well this morning when my ring bell (like my 4yr old says) rang, to my surprise it was my mail carrier with a package addressed to ME!!! My son assisted in the opening part and my daughter helped take it out of the package. It was the beautiful crib bedding I'd won! So without thinking I popped it open and propped Hailey on it to take some pics and get a reaction. She's a doll and didn't cry at all! Her little hands kept touching the chenille fabric back and forth! My only regret is I didn't change her to match the bedding or even run to grab her a hair bow! So sorry, but when its on the crib I promise to dress her up like a doll! I cut and filed her nails 3 days ago, and she still manages to scratch her face!

Kelly has several different fabric choices, in a variety of textures. All very beautiful. She needs to open up an Etsy shop! Inspire Me

Today I woke up needing some inspiration. I'm on the hunt for some new furniture and haven't quite yet found what Ive been looking for. The thing is, I'm not too sure what I'm looking for anymore. Lately I haven't been able to make a decision, I haven't been able to pinpoint an exact style I want. It's like this, I have so many "ideas" of what I'm looking for in a finished project swirling around in my head, I'm almost confused or car sick. And we all know being car sick isn't pretty. I think its time for me to take a step back and take a breather. This picture is gorgeous, in a perfect world this is what my Living room would look like! Now I just need the strength to pull it all together!

Relaxing Weekend!

I know I'm a little late blogging about my weekend since its almost Tuesday, forgive me! I had a wonderful weekend! I really didn't get anything done, I pretty much relaxed all weekend! I've been working with my 4 yr old with his letters. He is now able to write his first name!

He was so excited, so he drew a self portrait beside it! He can't wait to start school and meet new

friends.

Ive been visiting bloggs for these past few days, and am enjoying all the craftiness of so many of the ladies out there! I just wish I had more time in the day to try some of these!

Freshening Up

My darling baby is just about 3 months old and the effects of wear and tear are now starting to show! I've got the worst dark circles around my eyes, looks like I haven't slept in a few years!

Any ideas on what to do about them? Is there any natural way to rid of them for good? So for now I am sporting some new shades. Since I cant wear them 24-7, I need a fix fast!!! More hours in the day would be fabulous! Please share some ideas!!!

30 years ago, I was born. I am grateful and thankful to the Lord for everyday of my life. The good, the bad and the just plain Marvelous! I would also like to thank my parents for deciding to have a third, if it wasn't for them, well, I wouldn't be here!

I woke up feeling wonderful, sun was shining, and the birds were flying. Until about 2 hours later and the clouds rolled in, and it rained and rained. It poured ALL day, serious, all day. Despite all the rain, we went out and had a wonderful dinner. I wouldn't have wanted to spend my special day any other way! I Love my family!!!

Hailey, Holly, Hooly, Hilda and Hedy

Anyone ever watch Horton Hears a Who? Toward the end of the movie the Mayor introduces several of his daughters as "Hailey, Holly, Hooly, Hilda, Hedy". We thought it sounded catchy and cute, so since then we've sorta kinda nicknamed Hailey, Hailey Holly Hooly Hilda Hedy! Works real well if shes crying and we're trying to distract her.Whatever works right? LOL My lil darling is now 2 whole months young! She weighs 12lbs 2oz. Her stats are phenomenal says Dr. Lou. 93% in Height and 86% in weight. She is healthy and beginning the early fun stages of cradle cap, =0(...All in all, my lil darlin is an angel! She's an all night sleeper, and a daytime napper. She eats when she pleases, and doesn't hurt mommy at all! We are working well together!

She giggled for the first time on Tuesday, at her big brother Carter, silly boy! I cant wait to see what kind of lil one she blossoms into. Here are a couple pictures I snapped of my doll. I dressed her up, and what do you know, she conked out when I turned to grab the camera!

Happy Retirement Dad!!!

After working hard for so many years, my Dad has finally retired! We are all so proud of him. No need to wake up early for work anymore. Now it's time to sleep late and enjoy life. My dad is a Dad of 4, and Grandfather of 10, so it seems he's going to be pretty busy, building this, climbing that, running here and going there. My parents deserve this new lease on life. These days should be about getting closer, picnics in the park, and walks at the beach. They were HS sweethearts and have been married for 38 years. Dad I love you and cant wait to hear about all the places you'll visit, and cant wait to see all the pictures you'll take! I Love you and appreciate you!!! GOD Bless You!

In the Middle of Something, again...

Yuck, what is all that? Junk? LOL, Actually its my dining room, covered in living room items. Ive began to paint my builder white walls, finally, after 4 years. That first roll felt soo nice, the last roll isn't up yet, but I'm almost there! This is just a preview of whats going on. My sweet DH and I will be furniture shopping in the next couple weeks. I cant wait! I'm not too sure what I'm looking for, maybe one sofa, and 2 chairs. I'm also planning on hanging drapes and doing something definitely doing something with that Mantel. Paint white or Stain Dark? Still I'm not sure. My colors are Black&White, Brown, and Rust Orange. The walls are like a mocha colored and my carpet is beige, (one day Ill have hardwoods). I'm completely clueless on what color the sofa should be, something on the light side I'm guessing... any Ideas?

LOL I've been a member for the past 8 years,paid for in advance every year, even though the last time I went to the gym was in 2005...sad really =0(. Its not that I don't want to go. Its not that I don't care about myself. Its 5 miles away. Its a brand new facility. I have work out clothes. Whats the deal!

Its been almost 2 months since baby came, and NOW I'm feeling good. Ive been doing some cleaning, painting and got that little motivation I had one year ago. I think I'm ready to start working out! Here's why... Last week was my Daddy's Retirement Party (postin Manana) so I got the invite and was told to have everyone should be dressed in white shirts and jean bottoms... Sounds easy.. until I check my closet (future post..scary in it right now,LOL) and to my surprise I don't own a white shirt.! HOW? Maybe cause I'm nursing right now, or maybe cause I heart wearing black soooo much, I cant fit white into my closet. SOOO, whats a girl to do? I moseyed on down to Target... Picked up a couple winners and headed for the fitting room. I love Target, decor, housewares, I even like the toy isle (boo ToysRus), anywhooo one thing I hate are their fitting room MIRRORS! They are just plain RUDE! LOL They don't lie or even give you a break..! I picked a shirt to hide everything underneath and almost left the fitting room in tears!

WOW!!! I guess I should be a little easier on myself... This is the reason why I purposely didn't make it my New Year Resolution to loose weight! .... So Ive made a commitment to myself.... Today is Jan 21, 2010 (still cant believe its 2010) and by next January I will be fit and healthy the correct way, eating right and exercise. I'm nursing and plan to for the next year and a half so I cant diet...I know eating right and exercise work just as well if not better!

Don't know what your resolution was, but if you'd like to join me in this, we can call it our silent resolution, no one has to know! LOL

Don't you just love the days when you get a pleasant surprise! They are wonderful, they let you know you were thought of, talked about (in a good way), and missed. My handsome 9 yr old nephew stopped by for a quick "Hello". with my trusty camera in hand I had to capture a couple moments. My kids adore Shawn. Proof of that is the 30 minutes of crying they do after he leaves... Thankful I took the pictures, they make sure to ask to see them every other day it

Hi everyone! Hope your day is starting off wonderfully! I was able to sleep in thanks to my DH...! Unfortunately didn't last too long, Carter and Katie have now developed colds. Coughing, sneezing, boogies, the whole nine yards! Oh, how I hate when the kids are sick. Seems no one can get a good nights rest. Hopefully this doesn't last too long!!!

Much to my surprise back on November twenty-something, I was surfing blog land like I normally do, finding so many favorites I can hardly keep up with the names. I ran across Becky @ Thoughtfully Blended Hearts, decided pretty quick that I'd like to visit her site again and became a follower... Several days later I delivered my daughter, and became MIA for a while. When I got to read my comments there was one from Becky, she mentioned I was her 100Th follower and she'd like to send me a little something...! That was just the sweetest thing ever, she sure did make my day... Today I received her gift and I'm so blessed to have "met" such sweet bloggers out there, like Becky.

Since Becky was aware I had a baby girl, she picked her up a tiny little outfit, that is going to fit her perfect one of these days. Her gift also included a Hostess apron, soo cute, and its reversible. Not sure what its called but its like a hand cloth with "Friendship warms the heart on it, so cute! She also sent me the cutest little ceramic bootie, and tiny carriage. She also sent a tiny saucer, maybe one day I'll be lucky enough to find a cup! As if that wasn't enough she also sent a crown, so darling, perfect for my daughters room. Thank you so much!!! Drop by her blog and say "Hello!" To keep up with my cleaning resolution, I've started small. With a tiny one (Hailey) I can only do so much at a time before she wakes up. So a couple days ago during a nap I cleaned out my bedroom drawers.It went quite well, pop open a drawer, pull everything out and sort. If I hadnt used it within the last 6 months, it was send to the donate pile. I thought I would of had more than 2 grocery bags in the donate pile, maybe Ill have better luck in my closet!

After that was complete I felt soo good! Everything is neat and orderly, I know what I have, I found things I "lost" months ago before my preggo phase, it was awesome. After getting my drawers nice and neat, I thought, Wow, now I'm ready for something bigger...or so I thought!

I have this room downstairs, its used for many things. I have piles of this and that and the other in this room. It's "supposed" to be a laundry room, but since its rather large, I began storing homeless items. Now I have a laundry room full of homeless items!!!! I'm holding back the picture because you might faint if you see it. Its Mommys catch EVERYTHING room no one goes in. So I had my wonderful DH make a run to Lowes to pick up some bins. He purchased 10 bins. PERFECT!!!

So this began my cleaning... I worked on it for one full day and filled 7 of the 10 bins. I have a pile of donate and removed tons of trash. It was the best feeling, I actually feel like I lost some weight cleaning this room, LOL. LOL I'm still laughing about that! I kept out one minor detail... The cleaning I did was just to the piled items! Ugh, I havent even got to the cabinets yet!!! ... Ill keep you posted on how thats going!!!

1. I was born in High Heels (not literally, LOL). IF I could, I would wear heels every day!...I also have a love for shoes! One of these days Ill post a pic of my closet. Hey that was a 2for1... 2. I have a horrible fear of heights. My palms get clammy just thinking about it. And don't bother asking me to look out a plane window!!! Isle seat please!

3. I love to shop, not window shop, spending shop! If I'm sick with the flu, have a migraine, or anything else, and you mention "lets go shopping"... Give me 5 minutes Ill be ready!!!
4. I always, everyday, rain, sleet, snow, make my bed. If I dont, Ill get the urge to hop back in!!! Its sooo inviting! (Unless of corse, Im still in the bed...!)
5. Last time I cleaned my closet I donated over 50 grocery bags full of clothes and 8 bags of shoes!!! I hope someone got some use out of that stuff since I wasnt. Springish cleaning is here again, I wonder how many bags Ill fill this time.
6. I NEED to have my kitchen sink empty at all times. It bothers me when dishes pile up. When dishes have been put away, I feel complete, LOL!7. When I was 12 I wanted a purple car. My mom always said If I got one I'd have to park it around the corner, and not in front of her house! LOL, thank God that at 12 your favorite color changes monthly, next was green!

Lets get some MOTIVATION!!!

For as long as I remember, I can hear my Dad saying "Lets get some Motivation!"

Usually is was told to us in a very stern, I mean business kinda voice, you know the one you need when talking to kids who aren't paying you any attention. Now that we're all grown up with kids of our own, I sill hear it, and say it myself.

2010 is going to be a big year. Its going to be a good year. Its a new beginning.

Thinking about New Year resolutions is easy, sticking to them is HARD! Last year 09' I'm sure I made a resolution, now if I could only remember what it was.... LOL! OKAY, OK... so this year I wanted to pick something that I can stick with, that I can do a little of daily, something that is possible to complete within a years time. It was time for some motivation. I decided that 2010 was going to be the year of Cleaning, and Organization. Wow, I said it, now its law!

First of all I would like to go through every drawer, closet, nook and cranny and clear out whats not being used, we don't need, or the kiddos have out grown. I'd also like to organize, something I've been meaning to do since we moved in.

Another item on the agenda is painting the rest of the house which is still builder white. I'd like to pick colors which I wouldn't normally choose. Not just those safe beige's', or creams.

Id also like to complete my decorating. A couple rooms still need furniture here and there.

I will be dragging you along on my journey to a clean home. At times I might be MIA, but with a nursing month old baby, a toddler, and a 4 year old, times will get pretty hectic. Eventually when I find my way back I will fill you in with all the jelly and gooey stuff in the middle.

May 2010 bring you happiness when you are sad, strength when you are weak, wellness when you are ill, and laughter when you are taking life too seriously!

Happy 1 month, to Hailey Madison Page

One month old feet, sooo cute and perfect!

Sleeping soundly. Time for Mommy to nap...

Hailey is getting so big, I can hardly believe it.

Here she is sleeping in her Bassinet, which has been past down from my siblings and I to our children, and hopefully their children as well. The quilt, bumper and tiny pillow were all made with love by my mom. She did a fabulous job.

When I met Hailey one month ago, she was placed on my chest immediatly after delievery. Ive never had the opportunity to experiance this with either of my other children. The most beautiful bonding takes place during this time. Labor went by so fast I dont have not one picture, but I will never forget.

Hailey was also invited to her first Tea Party by her big sister, I tried taking a picture with my iphone, and only got one decent picture.

Here is lil Hailey asleep in her Moses Basket. This is where she sleeps when Mommy needs to get some work done. She is such a good sleeper, as well as eater.

Thought Id recessitate my blog and write a bit, even though, I'm late. Christmas was 11 days ago and New Years 5.The holidays were great. We stayed home and relaxed, vowed to make it a no stress holiday. Since Hailey was born 1 month ago I never got around to making the house look festive like I usually do. =0( Carter decided since we didn't have a Christmas tree he'd pile up the presents to resemble a Christmas tree, I wish id snapped a picture of that... Unfortunately I also never got around to sending Christmas cards, I had plans to, but the days just seemed to fly by. Before I knew it was already Christmas and New years wasn't far behind.
I'm sharing a couple pics of the kiddos, very happy opening presents on Christmas Eve.

We aren't like Rubber bands

When you were a kid and a rubber band found its way into your hand, the curiosity of how far the rubber band would go, usually had you stretching it, shooting it, marking the spot, and trying again over and over.
Well I feel like Ive been stretched too far, and am having a hard time finding my way back. Having a baby takes a toll on every woman, with every birth. This marks my third birthing experience and by far the longest time to snap back from it. What can I do to get back where I used to be, or will I ever get to that spot again? I sleep pretty early, am up several times a night with Hailey, and sleep in anywhere from 9 to 10am. Luckily my kids aren't in school yet, and my husband works from home, and also serves them breakfast, while I'm still catching Z's!
I haven't felt like doing anything around the house, except the things that need to be done.
Shhh...don't tell but Ive got laundry in the dryer, that I DON'T feel like folding... What is up with this?I used to be total OCD with everything. Such a shame....I haven't even decorated for Christmas, and don't plan to. Id like to jump through time to January 2nd, after all the festivities have past. Not because I don't want to celebrate the birth of Jesus, or being with family, but because I'm tired, just plain and simple, wore out. Ive put up a Pink Christmas tree in my daughters room,which she loves, didn't get around to putting up my sons, and finally wrapped 80% of presents, maybe Ill get to the rest before Christmas, hopefully. IDK.

Does it take time? How much time? Back, will I ever find it? That energy, the will, the strength, Ill take a dose of all three!

I'm going to take a nap, with my newborn...they say I should sleep when she does...

My post pregnancy appointment is Jan 5th...hopefully she has an answer!

Finding the Perfect One

10 years ago when making a purchase, we'd have to visit the many different stores to compare prices. Nowadays we sit, in the comfort of our homes, (in our Jammies) and do online searches.

Knowing I would be a nursing Mommy I wanted to pick up a Nursing cover, and began my search a couple months ago while at Target. Target is equipped with all sorts of baby gear and plenty of brands to choose from. I located only one Nursing cover. The cover was nice, all black, tiny pocket, secure neck Velcro, and a good price of $10 dollars. Although reasonably priced it was too small. Not wanting any accidental flashing's, Id like mine wider.
It would most likely get the job done but for $10 dollars I can probably run over to Joann's and buy fabric and try making one. Baby appointments are nearing as well as appointments for myself, so this is going to be very, very handy in the near future.

The online search pretty much showed me what I didn't want to spend on something like this. With shipping $35 +. Now my search will be a pattern, where can I find one of those? Or do I need one? Ah! Sewing for dummies, would come in handy... My search continues...

My Story

When God designed the body of a woman he made it perfect! I only have one complaint, why is labor so intense! Lets go back in time so you get a better understanding of where I'm coming from.

36wks ago I was 5 wks preggers and thrilled to know a baby was on its way! My family even went out to a "Congratulations" type dinner (anything to go out to eat,LOL) Seemed we were headed in the right direction of completing our family of 5. We already have a son, and daughter, so a healthy baby and mommy was it on our Want list.

So as the weeks went on with no complications, I began thinking about labor and my preferred birthing method. From experience having had my son c-section, the pain, the recovery time and that scar, was not for me! My second was a VBAC, which seemed like an easier route to take, and the one I'd choose. I mentioned my decision to my midwife, and left my appt that day grinning from ear to ear! I'd gotten so much positive support I just knew it was a possibility NOW!

By the time my 37th week appt came, I left that day almost in tears. I had signed the line... Since having a prior C-section, they will not induce if I get to my due date and have not delivered. My heart sank I knew I'd just signed the line that caused my body so much pain, discomfort and a horrible scar. From this point I knew I needed to deliver her before my due date or else... So I searched the Internet for ways to bring on labor. I found so many ways people thought brought on labor they are almost too funny to repeat. Okay, Ill name a few just to amuse you!

Galloping (on a curb, so one foot on curb while other is on street...you get the idea)
Spicy food (Heartburn, yikes definitely a no no)
Castor Oil (Nuts, never ever would purposely give myself the you know WHATS!!!!!!!!)
Acupuncture (More Pain? No...)
Long Walks (Nope)
Cohosh (Didn't try)
Evening Primrose Oil (Didn't try)

Just to name a few! Maybe one or more of these worked for you, these are only my opinions, and we all have opinions like we all have noses. So please don't get offended.

Onto the day of pain. Tuesday November 24th I woke up a little before 8 am, and felt what I thought were "real" labor pains. So I woke up my DH just to let him know I was going to sit and time them for about an hour. As I sat there in disbelief, my contractions were 5 mins apart on the dot and getting stronger and stronger. So at 9 I woke up my DH again, and told him to get ready, cause it was time. So being my cool and collective self, I decided to take a shower...bad bad idea! Now, I'm screaming every 3-4 mins, and can hardly stand in the shower cause of the pain. Knowing that this was very dangerous in the shower, I got out and dressed as fast as I could, and by now my contractions were a strong 3 mins apart. I'm dressed and now making my way out of my master bedroom down the hall to the stairs, when i cant go any longer. Down 4 stairs, I need to turn around and get on my knees I'm in so much pain. So I'm forced to go down the stairs on my knees. So when I finally make it to the car, my contractions have become even more painful (how much more painful can these suckers get??) and now at every 2 mins....

Luckily my lovely sister only lives a few streets away from me, we arrived within minutes to drop off my daughter and son. SCREAMING! There are 6 stop signs between my home and hers, at stop sign 3 I told my DH he needed to call an ambulance "NOW cause she was coming..."! 3 stop signs later he was on the phone with 911. My hospital is 45mins-1hour away from where we live, there was No Way on Gods green earth I would have made it. So I sat there in the passenger seat of our SUV, screaming in pain for what seemed like forever! Until I heard the ambulance siren, and by then I was screaming Louder, cause my contractions had now been one minute apart!

*And just to give a little credit where credit is due, my mom always told us to "Always wear clean panties, cause your a lady and you Never know what can happen to you!" Thank you MOMMY! Boy, was I pleased with myself for hopping in the shower and putting on some clean panties!!! Even though they cut them off as well as my super cute black and white maternity skirt I was wearing, at least they were clean!!!*

All this was going on my eyes are closed the whole time, I'm getting anxious, my hands are numb and I seriously think its the end, I'm dying...! Well not dying, but I sure did feel like I was!

So I pop my eyes open and there are about 8 strangers staring not at my eyes but, at "the baby area!" If you know me, I am a very quiet, very reserved, and a very private person. I don't dress in front of anyone, I don't talk about private issues with anyone other then my Dr and even then i feel embarrassed. I just don't do certain things, so this was "VERY Shocking!"

My eyes are closed, my DH in trying to calm me, my sister is trying to calm me and the medics are trying to get me on a stretcher to rush me to the ER. I'm in the ambulance, 10cm and my contractions are like 30 secs apart, water broke (poor ambulance, all over, let me tell you!) It takes the ambulance 8 mins to get me to the closest ER in my area. Once in the ER they rush me to another room, plop me on the bed, and I'm dying this whole time, screaming in pain, asking them to "hurry", and telling them "I NEED to push!"

I've heard so many horrible stories of woman having babies and pooping on the table, and let me tell you, It was NOT going to be me! So there I was 8 Nurses, my DH, and several people I didn't know what they were doing there. The Nurses must have poked my arms 8 times trying to give me an IV, and never could get a vein, "HELLO"! Ive now been laying on the bed for almost ten minutes dying screaming, on my side, cause they don't want me to push, my left arm all bloody, cause the Nurses couldn't find a vein, and were messy about it. And the wait, why were we waiting? I was dying, did they not hear? Well it was for the Doctor... cant do anything without him! He arrives and one minute later he tells me to push, I push, I feel burning (I tore,Ugh!), and shes out! One push brought my gorgeous daughter to her Mommy's arms at 11:58am Hailey Madison Paige was born.

By this time, I had my daughter in my arms, and forgot about the pain, even when the Dr stitched me! CRINGE! ouch! I give all the honor to God for sending me a healthy baby girl, and keeping me healthy too! The next day I went home, and began the journey of raising a newborn a 2 year old and a 4 year old! I couldn't do this without the help of my DH, who I love endlessly!!! Now that 18 days have pasted, its still hard for me to think about those several hours before the delivery of my daughter. The whole experience and the pain would be hard for anyone to forget.
Everyday with her has been a blessing! My 2 and 4 year old, cant get enough of her, cant kiss her enough, touch her hand enough, and just want to be involved with everything, getting diapers, wipes, clothes, baths, and can you imagine all the questions I get, tons! They are like sponges, and don't forget anything regarding Hailey. She is lucky to have them, which she will see as she gets older.

A Day to be Thankful

Today I am so thankful. God has blessed me sooo very much...Two days ago I delivered a healthy baby girl, and am home today. My husband has been a God send to me these past few days, especially when the clock was ticking. He was busy making my meals, doing housework, and even massaging my feet! Thank you Hunny I love you bunches! Not to mention my 2 angels, my son Carter, has been my helper, asking for things to help with, while my daughter Kaitlyn has been my shadow, wanting to do everything I do. I love you both and thank God for you! I'm also so thankful to have supportive parents, and siblings. They encourage, support, and most importantly are dependable.

I'm also thankful for blogging! I love visiting y'all seeing whats new, learning so many new things and making new friends. Thank you all!

Today marks the birthday of two of my adorable nephews! Happy 5th Birthday Connor and Happy 2nd Birthday Matthew! God Bless you both!

40 Whole Weeks

Tomorrow marks my due date. A whole 40 weeks carrying someone I can hardly wait to meet. Shes kicked, flipped, and used every bit of belly available to her!
So hows the sleeping you say? What sleep? Here and there, id say. Between the all night heart burn, every 20 minute peeing, and trying to toss and turn to get in a comfy position (which doesn't work,EVER) Id say i must have dozed off in there somewhere at least for a couple of minutes.
With my c-section date approaching in 7 days I am still pretty nervous that she wont make it in time and ill be rolled into the operating room! Ive had so much support in my choice to try for another VBAC, its awesome. I know the recovery time stinks with a c-section, and really never goes back to normal, must be why I feel so strongly about the VBAC.
No matter what route has to be taken when I enter that delievery room, I cant wait to meet my baby girl.

Oh yes! We have her name picked out too! So now we're only missing the beauty to go with it!

39 weeks and 5 days. I've made it down to the wire.

My Dr emailed me back and per my request pushed my C-section back one week till Dec 1st. I'm a basket of mixed emotions, not sure if I'm happy about the delay, nervous that she wont get here in time, and a lil anxious for her arrival!

Ive got everything ready to go, bags packed, car seat in car and I'm stocked up on newborn diapers.

Ill keep you updated on my progress, or lack of...

As of this morning I am only 3 1/2cm, 50% effaced.

The last 6 days..

Lets see where should my story begin, I guess I should start at the beginning. 9 Months ago we were thrilled to discover we were pregnant with our 3rd child. What a beautiful surprise, and gift from God... I originally made up my mind to keep you updated on check ups, growing, all the good stuff that goes along with being pregnant. Then the "nesting phase" kicked in overdrive! I didn't sit down from about week 18 till about week 36. Today at 39 weeks I am still doing, moving, and waiting till my hubby's is off work to nag him a bit! LOL...

I have 6 days till my due date, and still cant believe Ive come so far! With my first I went to 37 wks, with my second 35 wks, and my 3rd I was hoping to have her delivered like 2 weeks ago! So much for positive thinking. Ive been having plenty of contractions, and even thought I was in Labor last Friday at 4am, then arrived at the hospital and 20 minutes later were gone!!!

Since having a previous C-section I cant be induced. So they've already scheduled my C-section day for Monday the 23rd. If you've ever had one you know about everything that comes along with it, plus recovery. I'm not looking forward to it, and getting very nervous and anxious and being cut again. So today I went in for a check up, and I am 2 1/2 cm, 50 %. This afternoon I decided to email my Dr. and let him know how I am feeling. I would like at least another week to give vbac a try. Ill keep you updated on his response. I know I can do this, Ive done it before!

A Name isn't JUST a Name

All mothers must go through the endless lists of baby names until they find the perfect fit. At 31 weeks I still have not found it. I've gone from Googles most popular, to unique, to switching years all the way back to the 50's and nothing. Maybe I have not found it yet, or maybe I have and just don't know I have. i want something feminine, something with substance, something i can take a nickname out of, something girly and pretty! Is that too much to ask for? So Lord in front of all my fellow bloggers, I am asking for some help, guidance and direction. The perfect name is out there I just have to find it!

Today was an interesting day... This afternoon before dinner, my husband found a note on the door which was typed and written anonymous. Our neighbor, or whomever it is, has asked us to bring in our dogs, which have been barking too much at night, and are keeping them up.

I totally understand where they are coming from, although them barking is out of my control, and if it wasn't for the neighborhood cats running through our yard, we wouldn't have an issue, so since we are peace makers, and are compassionate with our neighbors who never wave, or even look in our direction as we pass them, we will be bringing our pooches in at night. We apologise for keeping you up at night, and for the nuisance both our 3lb dogs have been.

I have been the worst blogger out there, I think! LOL I had planned to write so often, I cant believe that I let myself down!

Lets see, so much has gone on these past few months!

Today I am 31 weeks pregnant and would have liked to do weekly updates of my progress, but didn't. So today I will fill you in. So, I'm having a girl! Yippie! Still no name picked out. My due date is Nov 24th. She is breach as of last weeks ultrasound, and I'm praying and trusting God to do a miracle. With my previous 2, Ive had both C-section and natural births. I would much rather have a natural. I know God has his hand on my situation and he knows will take care of whatever situation comes my way...

So, I'm not going to promise, but I'm going to try to keep you updated as much as possible!!!

Its so hard to believe that my son was born 4 years ago. He has grown up way too fast. He has the cutest little laugh, great personality and smile that will capture your heart. This year he loves Star Wars, Clone troopers and anything else that has to do with it. He enjoys playing with his sister, and his cousins Shawnie and Connor. He is so athletic and coordinated its amazing! I know he didnt get it from me. must have picked it up from his dad! He loves every sport, especially Golf, like his dad!

I love my son and cant believe time has flown by so fast!

Star Wars Millennium Falcon

Today's blog is kinda different. I am asking everyone out there to do a mind search, closet search, or keep an eye out... My 4 year old has asked me to buy him a Star Wars Millennium Falcon which was released like 6 years ago, i think! They aren't sold in stores and have been retired for years. I have been asking around, and looking here and there at different stores with No luck.

Morning Glory

Its such a beautiful time of the year. So many plants, vines and trees have bloomed in many different colors. My favorite vine of the season is my Pink Morning Glory. It has just taken over the trellis, and bloomed these gorgeous pink trumpets. The only question I have is, "Why do they only bloom in the morning?"

They are so beautiful I'd really love to enjoy them all day rather then just with breakfast.

Since I've been pregnant I cry for just about everything. When I'm in a conversation and speak of something sad or even happy, when I watch cartoons with the kids like Lion King or love stories with good endings, or when I read something. Daily I visit Cindy at http://romantichome.blogspot.com/ and came upon her post from this morning. I barely got through the headline and already my heartstrings were being yanked... Just to give you an idea of the story, a wife and mother of 6 daughters was taken, along with her 7 year old daughter to heaven, all too quick.

What is the first thing you look at when you see someone? Lips, eyes, nose, ears, hair, it could be anyone of these things or something else... I see eyes. I can see a lot through your eyes like, happiness, pain, sadness, sleepiness, which is only a few of the many things I can see... But what I can't see past is a pair of bushy untamed brows, or in some cases uni brow! It's sad really to think that you could let yourself go so easy without maintaining, a part of your face that probably gets over looked daily. Without the fuzz, you can open up your eyes, and how people see you. Not only do they see you care about yourself, they see your face, without the shadows of unneeded hair. If you know anyone who needs a little help out there, let them know you are available to help them tame those bushy brows! I know I will!!!

We are thrilled to announce we are having a baby Girl! After many months of wondering, thinking, and taking bets, Girls win! We will be meeting her very soon, I am 20 weeks along, and the weeks are just blowing by. Today I am welcoming Lexi into our family! She is only 4 months old, and weights 2lbs...

She has the sweetest personality, loves her belly rubbed, and she falls asleep always within minutes of holding her! She is tiny, but already has shown to be a great watch dog, fending off birds, and cats. Best of all she gets along with our other puppy Toby.

We are looking foward to many great years with her, as a part of our family!

Today is my sweet daughters 2nd Birthday! The years, have just gone by much too fast! I remember the day she was born at 35 weeks, she only weighted 5lbs 5oz! She was tiny, but gorgeous! All the nurses and doctors loved her! Now she is a chatter box, who love princesses, Dora & boots, anything pink, books, counting, her ABC's and tons more! She loves to play with her big brother, and adores her cousins! Time goes by so fast, its so wonderful that we have cameras to capture the beautiful moments of our lives!

I'm sure we all have had this problem, well maybe not all of us, some of us! Let me explain!

Go back to 3 years ago, we were so excited to move into our new home, have new neighbors, new parks, new everything right? Wrong... Seems like when we got around to meet our neighbors, they were either on the way into their homes, or just too busy to smile and wave.

It's ridiculous! We finally met our immediate neighbor to the right which worked out great, but have yet to meet anyone else! Maybe I'm just not approachable? Who knows, but if your reading this and have a neighbor you have yet to meet, please at the least, smile and wave, maybe even run over for a quick chat!

I will try my hardest this summer to get to know some of my neighbors, and will keep you updated!

Our Weekend Outting!

Sure, the Saturday we pick to go to the Wild Animal Park was the Hottest day of the year! I can't began to tell you how many drinks we had to buy to beat the heat! By the end of the day the $12.95 +tax Souvenir cup with free refills, didn't look like a bad choice.

Even though we had the heatwave, I do have to admit, we had a wonderful day and so did the kids! We did have some complaining here and there about the walking portion of it, and about the 50 million birds we seen and hardly no animals and where were all the tigers, and why was there so many people and on and on...

Well fellow bloggers the CL bug has hit again! I sort of addicted to chairs, and keep looking for the perfect pair. Now they don't have to be new or in perfect condition, since I can probably get them refurbished and reupholstered. So I was on CL a few weeks ago and found a post for a pair of dark wood french chairs for 15 bux! I felt there could have been a typo or maybe she was a fraud, so I emailed. The next day I went on the journey to pick them up. I guess the poor woman didn't know where she lived, because when I finally arrived at her home, it wasn't in the city, which she told me on the phone. The chairs need some elbow grease and definitely new material, but for 15 dollars what do you expect!

Carters Dinosaur Room, ROAR!

I recently decided to change my growing 3 year old's "Nursery" painted toddler bedroom, and give him a big boy bedroom with his choice of theme. He, after many days of going back and forth from Star Wars, to Batman, he finally decided on a Dinosaur Inspired room.

I've included a couple of pictures of his new room, please keep in mind that I have not had a chance to complete my check list, like the mural, drapes or the hanging of various items. I chose earthy tones with a bright orange for a little kick. I am really happy with the way it turned out.

Attached to Carters big boy room is his own bathroom, so Ive also included a picture of him brushing his teeth!!!

Mine at Easter!

Easter is a beautiful time of year! The smell of Spring is in the air, the gorgeous sunny warm weather, and the kids all dressed up for Easter!!!

When we were kids we'd get all decked out (thanks Mom) lacy gloves, new dresses, hats w\hat pins, new watches, shoes with matching purses, you name it we wore it! I hope to keep that same tradition in my family.

There is nothing like arriving at church with a new outfit, smelling good, full of the confidence of that like on a first day of school! I remember when we wore sponge rollers in our hair all night, and when we'd wake up, there were sore parts on our head!!! Pain means beauty, I just thank God for hot rollers, and curling irons!

This year was a little different, Easter started a week early!!! Don't laugh this is a true story, shows how busy we are in life and how using my IPhone calendar is non-existent!

Saturday nights its usually the time when I get my kids clothes ready for church the next morning. Picking them out usually only takes a few minutes, then comes the ironing, and then the accessories. So for some odd reason I thought Easter was a week earlier! SOOOO, to make a long story short my kids wore their Easter clothes, the Sunday before Easter!!!

Would you believe the horror I felt, and nothing was said about it being Easter!!! Laugh, go ahead!!! So I finally googled Easter 2009, and wow, it WAS the following Sunday!!!
Shame on me!!! =0(

So the following Sunday I did what any mother would have done, pulled the new clothes from the back of the closet that were always my "Just in Case!" Carter had a new shirt, tie, and slacks, and Katie had a new dress. It all worked out fine, I just thank God for making the real Easter not about the clothes, bunny's and egg hunts!
Please forgive me on the weeks that have gone by, and me finally posting about Easter!!!

Hi Ya'll! I've been here and there and everywhere, just not on here posting! I've tried my best to sit and make time, but as you and I know there is never enough to go around. So I decided to share what my dining room looks like now... I still have not painted or purchased my dream chandelier yet! But, all will come soon enough. So here it is... can we all say Frenchy! I love the walnut top, the curvyness of the legs, and the romantic feel it has, but I now think it is time we part ways...! So yes this is on the market as well as the matching Hutch. It is a vintage Stanley Furniture set.
My mind is scrambled with ideas of which direction I am going to go, and colors to choose. A blank slate might be just what I need...

Here is my dream chandelier... One day we will meet and I will give it a new home. I would love to have this hanging over our formal dining area. One Day!!!

I love to carry my camera just about everywhere I go. It's 99% of the time always in my purse when I go anywhere. You never know when the kiddos are making the cutest faces, or you catch a glimpse of your "Dream Home" while your taking a scenic drive through the city. Today's not a good day! I know as soon as I wake up in the morning if the day will breeze by or Ill have some trouble coming my way. Today was one of those troublesome days. Migraine for the second day in a row. I'd like to share something with you all regarding the kind of migraines I get.

First of all they aren't your typical regular migraine headache. They are called Complex Migraines. They are probably the worst anyone can possibly get. Symptoms such as weakness, loss of vision, or difficulty speaking in addition to the headache. In fact, a complex migraine may be mistaken for a stroke in many cases. Okay... Yes go back and read that last sentence again!!!One theory about the cause of migraine headaches is that blood vessels in the brain suddenly narrow (or spasm) and then dilate; when the blood vessels dilate, the headache develops. During the spasm phase, certain parts of the brain may receive too little blood, and this may cause the stroke-like symptoms. However, unlike a stroke, blood flow is not permanently interrupted during migraine headaches, and the neurological symptoms are nearly always temporary

I'm 29, healthy and active. I try not to stress out or worry about events. When I am with my family I am happiest. I am scared. I don't want to die. Having headaches like this make me stress about getting these kinds of headaches! LOL ... How do I relax and lead a complex migraine free life? If you happen to be a doctor, know a doctor, or know anything about this, please let me know. I've been seen by my Doctor regarding this issue and was given a shot, told to relax, spend the day in bed, and not to stress.

I haven't written in several days because the 48 hour bug caught me! And now that I am well, I have a horrible migraine! As I was uploading my camera pictures, a picture of Kaitlyn caught my attention. This picture was taken in her room two nights ago. Her Auntie Shelly bought her that horse, and she carries it all over! In the picture I asked Kitty to make a face like a horsie, so this is the face she made! She will be 2 years old in 2 months! Another cute Idea!

Today is a rainy day, so what a better way to pass the time then to read! I haven't received any new magazine's, so I decided to browse through Living, one I'd received months before.

While reading I came upon the cutest idea... A button filled flower Vase.

Here's how to do this crafty idea, especially since we all have tons of buttons laying around.

You'll need a large glass vase, a narrower vase that fits inside it, and enough buttons to fill the space between them. (We used vintage mother-of-pearl buttons, which, unlike plastic ones, are heavy enough that they won't float.)
Fill the bottom of the large vase with buttons, and place the second vessel on top. Add more buttons, filling the space between the vessels, and then add water.
Fill the smaller vessel with water, and arrange flowers inside.

Winter is here for another 6 weeks. The Groundhog saw his shadow. That should explain why we are getting rain this weekend! Winter in So California, is great! No snow, some days 70's or low 80's, and cool, crisp nights.

I can't wait for spring. I've planted some Agapanthus seeds and can't wait to see them sprout.

Had to share beautiful furniture with you. I was taking a moment to search for a different colored piece of furniture when I stumbled upon this website. Its the coolest kind of furniture ever! Its Rubber. Can you believe this Rubber furniture is SO beautiful? Once I seen the side chair that was it...

There are many color choices. This furniture can be used inside or out. Imagine a table outside with 4 of these chairs, when they are dirty, you spray them down! When your kids spill juice, it wipes up and wont absorb into the fabric!

Orange is a beautiful color!

The Orange Tree

Ever have a juicy orange you knew you'd never forget? Well I have!!! My parents have a very very very old Orange tree which is about 5 feet tall and about 5 in diameter. It produces many many oranges which my Mom passes out by the bag. They are Delicious and sweet. In the many I have eaten, peeled for my kids, and juiced, I have not found 1 seed, until today! So I saved it, in hopes to grow my own orange tree. One day when my tree produces fruit I would like to pass on oranges by the bag. I know how expensive oranges can be, so I would the opportunity to give them to family and neighbors and family.

Since Ive been inspired to grow my own orange tree, I posted the quick and easy steps, so maybe you will be inspired too...

Step One - Save your orange seeds. Immediately wash them in tepid water and begin the planting process. You can use the paper towel method for germination, but the soil method, described here, is more effective.

Step Two - Prepare a container with sterile potting soil. Before filling it with soil, create drainage holes. Paper cups tend to dry out sooner, so if you are punching ice-pick-sized holes in the bottom of the container for drainage, do about four for plastic and two for paper.

Step Three - Plant the seeds 1/2 inch under the potting soil. Add enough water to moisten the soil, but don't let it get soggy.

Step Four - Cover the cup with either a plastic bag or plastic wrap. Keep checking to make certain that it remains moist.

Step Five - Store the pot in a warm place. Sunlight is not necessary at this time. Directly in front of a register is not a good idea because of the drying effect. Atop an electrical appliance like a television or refrigerator is usually best.

Step Six - Move to a sunny area and remove the plastic once the seed has sprouted. Maintain moisture. Transplant to a more permanent container when the seedling is large enough.

During the day when I have a few moments to spare I browse through blogs. I've come upon many which have inspired me to take that first step. I've learned so many new things from them and can't wait to learn more. I'd just like to thank everyone for sharing a part of their lives with us. I truly appreciate it!

Pink Hydrangeas anyone?

January and February are my gardening months... So I've decided to travel trough the Internet to see what I really want my yard to eventually look like. First off, my front yard needs a complete overhaul, and while I have lots of purple , I am gravitating toward PINK! I found this wonderful picture online I'd like to share...

This picture is of the Acacia Passage Big Leaf Pink Hydrangea in Longwood Gardens Kennett Square, PA. It is just a long hallway, and still has that romantic charm, with the white Iron bench and all that Pink!

I own a white Hydrangea which I now wish was pink after seeing this picture! I am making a plant list of what I want and what what I might want... My end result would be dripping with pink. I have a porch which also needs some character. Ill have to post a picture so I can get some ideas. I have a blank canvas to work with and wouldn't mind using Craigslist to pour on the character.

Pink, Pink and more Pink... Here is Kaitlyn's Pink room, well its not painted yet but everything in it is Pink! She loves Pink! I'm making all of her bedding, pillows, everything. So Its going to take me a little longer then I'd planned to. I always browse through high end children's boutiques and found a lovely comforter with tulle puffs up and down in 3 rows, pink on pink... I just need the time to sit and actually do it... The dark furniture looks nice against such a pale pink. I'd like my completed project to be very girly and pink!!!

Kate's room needs to be painted, molding, area rug, curtains, chandelier x2, and a couple of odds and ends. I think its coming along fine and I'm happy with my result as of yet....

Hi, We are all not feeling ourselves! For the past several days we've been sick with the flu. Seemed like it was just an annoying cold at first, it keep lingering and lingering, till I've now

claimed it to be the flu. On Sunday we got to church and I asked Carter to please stand and clap his hands, he just looked at me. Knowing there had to be something wrong, I sat down next to him, hugged him, and felt his little hands, FREEZING! Then I felt his forehead and he was burning up... So we immediately left to the store for some Tylenol and cold medicine. 2 days later Katie and I woke up, messed up. so here we are today... New Years Eve sick, awake all night, exhausted bodies, just wanting to get well...Keep us is your prayers for a quick recovery and healing!!!

Thanks for dropping by again!!!

This morning we woke up and got ready for church. I decided not to dress Katie in her beige dress like I thought I would. When we woke this morning it was 40 outside, and there was ice on all the roofs!!! Might just snow this winter (I hope). So I decided to dress her in another beige dress with is a lot warmer, and turned out to be the better pick or the two. Carter wore his red vest I bought him last year, that he never got to wear. It all worked out well until we got home and I announced it was time to take some pictures.

When we arrive home Carter turns on all the Christmas lights and immediately goes upstairs. So I call him for about 5 Min's, over and over, saying, "Come down so we can take pictures!" So Mark gets worried and checks on him, well, he had already decided to change and put his pajamas on!!!

So I didn't get any pictures of him in his Sunday Church clothes. I think Ill have him put them on tomorrow just so I can get a picture! OH MY! I cant my camera BROKE!!! It just died after I took the pictures today... Ugh... now I need to search for a new camera... wish me luck...

FYI:Kaitlyn didn't have enough patience to sit and take pictures so I got what I could. Enjoy!!!

Heres Katie being herself! When we are getting ready to go somewhere or just hanging out in my bedroom, Kaitlyn disappears for a couple mins and returns with a pair of my shoes on! She loves to wear them no matter how many times she almost trips, or actually does trip! Shes such a girl, hope she never changes! The Beginning

Well looks like ive started! Decorating for Christmas that is... The kids had a lot of fun helping me do pretty much everything, even decorate their own trees.
I didnt take as many pictures as I would have liked to but here are a couple.
Ive already finished my Christmas shopping and all the presents are wrapped and under the tree waiting for 13 more days till christmas!(i think) Carter knows which presents belong to him and he takes them from under the tree and piles them on the side! I walk by the living room and find him sitting there with a pile of presents, probably wishing he could open them.
Carter decided he's help me decorate the garland, so he got my extention cord and stuck it in, and said "See Mommy I'm done!" that was the funniest! My next step is getting my Christmas cards out before Christmas!!! AHHH!!! Wish me luck...

A day of Thanks... Thanksgiving day...

Thanksgiving came and went! We celebrated this special day at my house, with all the family! It was lots of fun... It started out raining a bit, then cleared up. Turned out to be a nice warm day. Turkey went in about 9am and the family sat down to eat at around 230pm. Everything turned out yummy... Everyone got to do a little bit of something. My sis helped me out the most, I'm so glad she was able to do what I wasn't able to. It was also her birthday, which we also celebrated. My mom zoomed over to my house and started cooking when she arrived. Soon after it all started we were all so full, and then the best part cleaning! Melissa dried, while Michelle washed, so did Candy... Michelle was also chosen to tear apart the turkey! We were so blessed to have such a wonderful day. The food was delicious, the desert was yummy and the leftovers were even better!!! Here are a couple pictures of that special day!

3 is a wonderful age... My son Carter is growing sooo fast! I cant believe 3 years has gone by so quick... I remember him still kicking me in the belly! And now he tells me almost every other day, he wants to go to school now! He is growing up to be a handsome, kind, sharing young boy!

He is my little blue bird no matter what age he is!

Here are a couple pictures of the kids. The first couple were just the other morning after breakfast while they were playing. Carter wanted me to take a picture of him and his Star Wars toys, boba fett and a clone trooper, and Kaitlyn of corse playing with a baby her Ti Shelly bought her. The next was last Sunday morning getting ready for church. I never have a second to snap a shot while we are getting ready for church, I guess I was ready with the camera this time, or woke up earlier then usual....

My kids are hilarious! They make me smile all the time, and I cant imagine life without them.

They keep my world going! They truely are a blessing from God...
