The last 6 days..

Lets see where should my story begin, I guess I should start at the beginning. 9 Months ago we were thrilled to discover we were pregnant with our 3rd child. What a beautiful surprise, and gift from God... I originally made up my mind to keep you updated on check ups, growing, all the good stuff that goes along with being pregnant. Then the "nesting phase" kicked in overdrive! I didn't sit down from about week 18 till about week 36. Today at 39 weeks I am still doing, moving, and waiting till my hubby's is off work to nag him a bit! LOL...

I have 6 days till my due date, and still cant believe Ive come so far! With my first I went to 37 wks, with my second 35 wks, and my 3rd I was hoping to have her delivered like 2 weeks ago! So much for positive thinking. Ive been having plenty of contractions, and even thought I was in Labor last Friday at 4am, then arrived at the hospital and 20 minutes later were gone!!!

Since having a previous C-section I cant be induced. So they've already scheduled my C-section day for Monday the 23rd. If you've ever had one you know about everything that comes along with it, plus recovery. I'm not looking forward to it, and getting very nervous and anxious and being cut again. So today I went in for a check up, and I am 2 1/2 cm, 50 %. This afternoon I decided to email my Dr. and let him know how I am feeling. I would like at least another week to give vbac a try. Ill keep you updated on his response. I know I can do this, Ive done it before!
Please keep me in your prayers!

  4. Hi Jenna...

Well my friend, I was coming over to answer a question that you left for me on my faux fireplace project...you were wondering where I got the mantel from! Believe it or not...JC Penneys! I know, I didn't even know that Penney's sold them...hehe! But they do and have been having a huge sale...so I got my $800 mantel for half price...just a mere $399. Just to answer your question!

Now...I'm sure that you have a million other things on your mind at this point in time! Ohhh...how very exciting!!! To be mama again...this coming Monday!!! As I am writing this, I have said a prayer...asking the Lord to be with you and new baby!!! Congratulations, Sweetie!!! I will check back with you...after that sweet little girl makes her debut into the world!!!

    Blessings, my friend!

  7. Hi Jenna, Stopping by for the first time and what do I see... a sweet pink bow for a little one about to arrive. So very exciting!

One of my daughters is expecting a little girl Dec 14th. It will be her fifth child and her oldest just turned 6.

It has been very many years (18) but I was able to have a vbac after a c-section (for my twins).

Wishing you all the best as this day approaches!

Thanks for visiting my blog and becoming a follower!
    Kindly, ldh

  8. Jenna what a lovely picture! I took some photos of a friend last summer and they turned out OK but wish I had seen the idea of the bow, how perfect is that! I know you will be very busy with the new baby but we are all looking forward to hearing about her and sharing this time with you! Take care of yourself and I will be watching for the news of the big event.

Thank you for stopping by my blog and commenting. You have such a beautiful home on the web, and I believe your real home will be as welcoming.
As long as you baby is safe and you're having good contractions you can do it.But safety first. Concentrate on the cuddling!
I shall be praying for you and your baby.

  12. Hey thanks for following me. I am following you as well.

I wanted to let you know I had a Vbac with number 4. #1 and #2 were vaginal deliveries. #3 was an emergency c-section. SO here comes #4. I had a HORRIBLE time with my c-section (long story-readmitted into the hospital 3 days after leaving my 5 day stay at the hospital). I was begging not to have another c-section. My dr was concerned that she was going to be a big baby and didn't want to let me go over.At my 40 week check up (on a Thursday) things finally began to happen (so he cancelled my c-section for the next day-Friday) but said if I hadn't delivered by Saturday he wanted me in the hospital bright and early Sat morning and he would induce. He would not have induced if things had not already started but he did give me a little pitossin and we were able to deliver a perfect healthy 9 lb baby one day after my due date.
